News Reports: Yummy Tummy Rainbow Garden...

Black Mountain NEWS reported:

“…Karen Leonetti will do a reading from her delightful and informative book about healthy nutrition choices, Yummy Tummy Rainbow Garden. Leonetti, a Child Development Specialist, was inspired to write the book after recovering from a health crisis by changing her diet to fresh grown vegetables.  She uses the rainbow as a guide for children to learn the importance of eating fruits and vegetables of different colors. Her book is packed with recipes and strategies for getting the kids away from the video games and out to the fresh air and sunshine.”

A book for mindful eating For children

5.0 out of 5 stars A Coup for Holistic-Minded Parents!January 8, 2014
This review is for: Yummy Tummy Rainbow Garden: Teaching Children of All Ages to Eat Well (Paperback)
Karen's passion for instilling the virtues of good, clean eating and how that specifically contributes to a well-functioning body and mind exude from these pages. My husband and I strive to educate our kids as fully as we can about the Standard American Diet (SAD) so that they have the information and tools to make independent choices as they grow up. This is a foundational sort of read for young kids to begin to appreciate the importance of food. The chocolate mousse recipe included here (made with avocados!) is brilliant and I have prepared it many times for my family and even taken it to parties where it is always a hit! Here's to a book that takes the lead in positive change for our younger generation.
